Who We Are
A Milledgeville bar, run by Milledgeville people.
Greene Street Pool Tavern opened in 2023, when we took over the downtown space that locals knew for years as The Fat Squirrel. We put in new tables, new felt, and a kitchen that stays on late. We kept the part that already worked: a room where anybody can walk in, grab a table, and shoot a game.
It’s a dive bar in the good sense: cold beer, good tables, fair prices and nobody putting on airs. We’re independently owned and operated, right here on West Greene Street. Our staff is a mix of longtime locals and college students, and most nights you’ll find one of the owners behind the bar or racking a table.
